Well, we started the game off well, having two golden chances to score, but came away empty handed in the early going. About 10 15 minutes in, they had a corner kick where they played a low driven ball to the near post and their player was able to volley the ball in, putting us down 1-0. They began to take it to us for a few minutes, but we were able to turn things around and have the better of the play going into the half. At the start of the second half we came out very sluggish. We surrendered a free kick from about 40 yards away and conceded a goal on the service which cam through to the back post at around the six yard box where their player was unmarked and tucked it home. We were now down 2-0. We then began to really take the play to them somewhat, using numbers in transition and having several opportunities to score. As the game went on, we began to look stronger as the opponents tired. In the 75th minute, we were finally able to get on the board when Layba played a beautiful cross to Christian who headed it past the opposing goalkeeper to cut the deficit in half at 2-1. We then continued to pressure and our hard work paid off as Layba tied the game in the 83rd minute to bring the score to 2-2. Layba had another chance with about 5 minutes remaining, but his sliding shot spun away from the goal. We defended a couple corner kicks in the waning seconds and secured a point in the standings with the come from behind 2-2 draw.
