It is positive that we scored during regular play, and not on free kicks (we didnt have many free kicks anyway). We could not do that at all last year. We also need more dedication by the midfielders to come back as needed.
Gost from the past: most of the goals that have been scored against us occur during set plays from a free kick. It is usually not corners, but free kicks outside the penalty box (especially those just outside where a wall is not helpful, and it is still a close kick). Those have been devastating in the past, because we permit them by committing stupid fouls outside the box late in the game.
If I could make one request for something to work on as a team, it is to play clean near the box. A free kick outside the box nullifies the quality of your defense, because any lucky thing can happen on a free kick, and the skill of your defense is not as important as a result. The safest option is to always have your defense doing their job during regular play.
